DON JUAN MAGIC, NOT DON "MAGIC" JUAN
What do you think it took to become the apprentice to Carlos Castaneda, "Godfather of the new-age movement" and elbow-rubber with Yaqui shaman Don Juan Matus? Do you think Carlos rocked a comb-over and told way-too-eager-beaver spiritual seekers with leadership deficiencies that they were "fired," until he settled upon Felix Wolf? That's one of the questions you can ask the author as he presents his book The Art of Navigation: Travels With Carlos Castaneda and Beyond. Wolf is a German-born author, teacher and transformational healer with degrees in cognitive psychology and oriental medicine. He met Castaneda in Sri Lanka and became his personal German translator, a process through which he became familiar with the spiritual leader's works, which focus on universal intent, or shared creative intelligence, as a path to freedom. (Incidentally, this year marks the 50th anniversary of Castaneda's encounter with Don Juan, from which these ideas are said to be born.) Wolf is also a lecturer, and will workshop the book's principles and practices at this event. He's also identified as "an avid lucid dreamer and visionary," and we're dying to know what that means.
