In any case, the LACF kicks off with four days of comedy shorts features and pilots, followed by top local and national acts taking over the Acme stage. This year budding screenwriters can get tips on their Hangover rip-off at the "Turning Your Movie Idea into a Viable Screenplay" workshop with pros Christopher Lockhard and Cindy McCreety.
