BEST ICE PICK OF THE WEEK

The Ice House, the oldest comedy club in the country, is turning 50 and throwing itself a big party. The little joint that took over an old ice factory in 1960, offered up mostly folk music in the '60s and later became a major hot spot for hosting such up-and-comers as Lily Tomlin, Steve Martin, Robin Williams, George Carlin, Bob Newhart, Billy Crystal, Jerry Seinfeld, Jay Leno, David Letterman, George Lopez, Ellen Degeneres, Tim Allen and Bill Maher. Given the major names who've performed on its little stage over the years, the club is celebrating the bash in a much roomier space. Names you may have heard of: Jay Leno, Brad Garrett, Dana Carvey, Paula Poundstone, Gabriel Iglesias, George Wallace, Fritz Coleman, Craig Robinson and others will take the stage, with all profits going to the Hillsides Home for Children and the Bob Hope USO.
