STOP IN THE NAME OF MOTION
Art Clokey and Ray Harryhausen fans, unite! It's the annual one-night-only Stop Motion Magazine Mini Film Festival. Only stop-motion-related short films will be shown (puppets, clay, cutout, pixilation, Legomation, Dinomation, sand, etc.). There will be prizes and awards, culminating in the grand prize, dubbed the Purple Monkey trophy, given to the best film as picked by the audience. (Organizers wanted Gumby to appear as a special guest speaker, but the green superstar has dementia and lives in a Simi Valley nursing home.)
