For a Real Giggle, You Should See Uncle Marty's Schmeckle

The Improv is L.A.'s most respected comedy club. Anyone who matters in the world of stand-up got his start there. So it is with Adam Richmond and his shows presented under the banner of Richmond's House of Comedy, where he hosts a lineup of the best in the business. Word has spread, and RHOC has developed a sizable fan base. As of press time, Richmond was still preparing the roster for his next show, but, among others, it'll include Kevin Farley (Chris' brother), Eddie Pepitone and Don Reed. All these guys have résumés longer than your Uncle Marty's schmeckle. In the past, whenever I've stopped by to catch an RHOC show, not only have all the comics been great but I've also been impressed to see some of the guest stars who've popped in to try out new material: Recently, it was Drew Carey and Dane Cook. As my father always told me as an adult: Laugh and the whole world laughs with you; cry and they think you're a moron. The Improv, 8162 Melrose Ave., W.Hlywd.; Thurs. Aug. 26, 10 p.m.; $15.
