ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT (THURSDAY NIGHT, THAT IS)

"I believe the children are our future," a wise, pre-Being Bobby Brown woman once sang. "Teach them well and let them lead the way." And since Champs Charter High School of the Arts Multimedia and Performing knows its students deserve every advantage, the institution's "If It Weren't for the Arts" benefit will be hosted by and feature performances from a two-time Grammy-nominated, four gold albums -- boasting, six-time Emmy-winning TV personality. No, it's not Whitney but New Age ivory-tickler John Tesh, who will, boasts the official literature, "perform compositions from several of his acclaimed albums." Joining the John Tesh Radio Show host and onetime Oprah beau is globe-trotting comedian Dan Nainan, a veteran of CNN and the "Apple vs. Mac" ads, who appears in M. Night Shyamalan's upcoming The Last Airbender. Your first thought may be, "So whose performance will be more hilarious?" but since this charity event aids students of the arts -- some of whom may one day grow up to be just like Tesh -- the real question is how can you not want to help them out?
