Fans of the disco-drenched DFA label have a bit of a dilemma this week, as DFA-approved DJs hit L.A. on the same night. Downtown, the Chase Loft Series presents DJ Kaos (DFA/"Italians Do It Better"/Kitsune). The German gyrator, known for his inventive beats and his place in the bubbling Berlin underground, is sure to bring his blends of rock balladry style and bassy Chicago house–inspired bliss to the bash. Opening sets by Jasefromouterspace and Klazzique. Junglerush/EVFA, 542 S. Alameda St., L.A. twitter.com/TheChaseLA. In (East) Hollywood, Skirts & Skins offers a trio of DFA dudes: Jacques Renault & Justin Miller, crafting atmosphere with spacey funk jams and decadent neoretro body rockers, and opener Devin Flynn, serving sure-to-be-slinky and warped warm-up cuts. Also with the always lively, crowd-pleasing sounds of Cosmic Kids and DJ Pubes. Temporary Spaces Two, 4658 Melrose Ave., L.A. RSVP and info at smokeandmirrorslife.com. Both dance nights, on Sat., Feb. 20.
