The dance crowd will go early for the tantalizing array of master classes, but everyone can enjoy the Pasadena Dance Festival . Showcase performances throughout the day are free, and while tickets are needed for the culminating evening event, the price buys a show featuring nine professional troupes with styles covering major chunks of the dance spectrum. Chicago's Hubbard Street 2 company joins locally based ensembles, including Capoeria Bautuque, KIN Dance Company, Luminario Ballet pictured), Lux Aeterna, Revelations Dance, Terri Best Dance, Yogen's Bollywood Step Dance and Lineage Dance, which organized the daylong festival. The 11 a.m. showcase includes Maple Ballet, Colburn School, Burbank Ballet and Idyllwild Arts Academy. The 1:30 p.m. showcase offers Kenneth Walker Dance Project, Rose City Ballroom and B.E Productions. At 4 p.m. catch Pure Dance, Open House and LoCo Dance.
