It's easy to imagine They Might Be Giants' John Flansburgh and John Linnell as 8-year-olds (and not just because they still dress like dapper third-graders). Though the pair would grow up to write witty and observant songs, such as "You Racist Friend" and "I Palindrome I," you could feel that the preadolescent smarty-pants set would appreciate the clever wordplay. "Hot Cha" is a fun follow-up to "The Hokey Pokey" on any preschooler's playlist. "I'm a human head/And my best friend is also a head/I don't really need my best friend" from "Human Head" could have been written by a kindergartener in the bathtub. Unlike some pop artists who veer over to the kiddie market, They Might Be Giants are anything but pandering. Their kids' songs -- " No!," "Here Come the 123s" and "Here Comes Science" -- are just as wily as their so-called grown-up stuff. So borrow a kid -- maybe Octomom will rent you one -- and put on your play clothes for They Might be Giants' afternoon romp & roll. And if you're not a kid at heart -- or you just hate children -- there are 8 p.m. shows for you.
