The finest photography galleries in the world bring the cream of their crop for the 19th Annual International Los Angeles Photographic Art Exposition, which prefers the sassier moniker photo l.a. 2010 . Serious collectors will eye works by famous photographers. Local exhibitors include the Lapis Press, DNJ Gallery, Robert Berman Gallery and Stephen Cohen Gallery. International representatives include Galeria Sicart (Spain), Queensland Centre (Australia), Gallery Suite 59 (Netherlands), and MR Gallery (Beijing). This year’s opening benefit (Thursday, Jan. 14) is hosted by hotshot photographers David LaChapelle and Christopher Lowell and benefits the Wallis Annenberg Photography Department at LACMA.
