The only Day of the Dead celebration to actually take place on All Souls Day is the renowned Self Help Graphics & Art's 36th Annual Dia de los Muertos Celebration. The event has outgrown its original location and has moved to the East Los Angeles Civic Center for a fabulous display of altars, children's art workshops, arts and craft vendors, a "dead" fashion walk, plus music by Killsonic, L'Esprit d'Afrique, Ollin, Conjunto Los Pochos, La Santa Cecilia and more. This year's theme is "Deadly Stylish," so expect some pretty stunning calavera-pparel. "Come and strut your calaca couture during a fashion walk," says executive director Evonne Gallardo, "As Heidi Klum reminds us, "One day you're in, and the next you're out!"
