DANCE! AND THAT'S AN ORDER
Since instigating her inventive monthly salon Anatomy Riot three years ago, Meg Wolfe has hardly done anything by the book, eschewing stages for nontraditional venues — like the backroom of a sushi restaurant and now a warehouse — and recruiting guest curators who can draw different performers from L.A.'s far-flung pools of talent. In that spirit, guest curators Christine Suarez and Cari Ann Shim Sham offer Dances Made to Order, turning the warehouse into a restaurant/lounge, with dance, choreography and performance served up as delectable menu. Choices are derived from flamenco, postmodern, and perhaps most gastronomically appropriate, belly dance. Audience members can roam and select among the offerings. Among the dancer/choreographers making like chefs look for Anna B. Scott, Casebolt & Smith, Rachael Lincoln & Mark Stuver, Gregory Barnett, Rebecca Pappas, Rebecca Alson-Milkman, April Rose Wilson, Lyndsay Ducos and Sara Silkin and Lisa Solar.
