THERE'S NO SCARY LIKE SHOW SCARY

Start warming up your scream muscles. Universal Studios' Halloween Horror Nights is not for kids younger than 13, which is sort of a shame, because you can really scar those little ones for life by exposing them to Scare Zones featuring in-your-nostril productions of The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Bill & Ted's Excellent Halloween Adventure. There are new mazes to stimulate your sense of panic and claustrophobia, such as "SAW: Game Over" and "Halloween: The Life and Crimes of Michael Myers." Take the "Terror Tram: Live or Die"; through a War of the Worlds set. Knowing that Pigman and Jigsaw are out there somewhere in the dark should keep your spine tingled. This is the ultimate "immersion experience that will shatter preconceptions, transcending notions of horror-genre theatrics and Halloween maze experiences to take visitors to a state of extreme dread, shock and terror." Yep, it's even scarier than rush hour on the 405. You can tiptoe around the Psycho house -- and maybe meet a masked killer!
Wednesdays-Sundays, 7 p.m. Starts: Oct. 2. Continues through Oct. 31, 2009
