With the eclectic assemblage of humanity strolling the nearby Venice Beach boardwalk, choreographer Amanda Hart and her Hart Pulse Dance Company could not have picked a better venue for the latest edition of the aptly named MixMatch Dance Festival . Committed to presenting a broad sampling across the dance spectrum, the lineup for the third annual festival includes entries from 15 local and international choreographers, including danceworks from Holly Fletcher, Shannon Phillips, Heather Dale's OPUS MIXTUS Post Jazz Ensemble, Soom Dance Company, Dorcas Roman Dance Theatre, Intersection Dance Project, Louie Cornejo, Victoria Brown, Marko Westwood, Michelle Shear, Beth Gurrette, Amanda Killian, Jhon R Stronks, Rachel Pace and Hart. The theater is nestled behind the revitalized Abbot Kinney Boulevard, offering a colorful street scene for pre- or postperformance enjoyment.
