Summer is fading fast, but as always, Mother Nature and her party people aren’t ready to let it go just yet. Labor Day dance-offs and BBQs are sure to heat up all weekend, but our club picks this week promise to cook and soak even without the pools and pits. Sunday, September 6: Does any outdoor venue rival the Standard’s downtown rooftop for fun-in-the-sun ragers? Its final bash of summer will be manned by Droog this year, and Culprit vs. M_Nus is sure to blaze ’til 10 p.m. with Magda and Troy Pierce (from M_Nus, Richie Hawtin’s label), Droog and Kenneth James Gibson (who’ll be celebrating the release of his Animals Tonight EP, the second release on Droog’s Culprit Records). 550 S. For disco fiends, there’s only one place to be Sunday night: Full Frontal Disco. DJ Slash Fiction will shake your groove thing and the (bi)g, authentically ’70s-clad crowd will knock your socks off. Monday, September 7: No work Monday means you gotta have a splashy time somewhere, and nowhere will be more DJ-drenched than Wet, back at the Roosevelt Hotel and free this year! The lineup includes Andy Caldwell and Gabriel Rene (tag-teaming at sunset), plus Jason Bentley, Colette, Steve Loria, the EC Twins and others.
