The museum opens its latest, permanent exhibit, Visible Vault: Archaeological Treasures from Ancient Latin America
, giving a behind-the-scenes look at the conservation of more than 700 artifacts from the Aztec, Maya, Inca and other ancient civilizations, including ceramic sculptures, carvings, pottery, drinking vessels, and even gold adornments.
