Two anniversary bashes should be pumping — if in very different ways — this week. Behemoth beat-fest Club Giant marks its ninth year of massive electronic-music gatherings, with trance powerhouse Markus Schulz on the decks; his moody mixing journeys are definitely epic enough for the occasion. The same night in Echo Park, Dragstrip 66 marks its 16-year b-day by taking its usual cross-dressing excess to new heights with a “My Super Sweet 16”–themed princess party.
