Musicians play around with space as well as sound down in Long Beach this weekend, at the fifth annual SoundWalk event, a “one-night aural/visual experience” featuring sculptures, environments, installations and performances in various indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the downtown East Village. Thirty artists are scheduled to participate in this “sound art” happening in which the city itself, with its rich ambient sound, becomes a performer itself.
