By now, word is out that the monthly Comedy Meltdown is the most happening nuit du rire in town. It could be because it’s in the back room of a comic book store, which lends instant hipster cred. There’s no cover charge, and the booze is free. Get a load of this lineup for Comedy Meltdown IV: The Quest for Peace: hosts Mark Voyce, Andy Kindler, Natasha Leggero, Boris Hamilton and Ron Lynch. That’s at least a sawbuck’s worth of comedy, though if you’d prefer to spend big bucks, the Laugh Factory is only a few blocks down the street. Fri., March 28, 8:30 p.m., 2008
