Widely considered the best electronic-music DJ on the planet, Dutch decksman Tiësto is one of the few dance-music masters who not only holds his own in an arena atmosphere but also transforms it into a trance-beat-driven bash, where the vibrations and kaleidoscopic visuals bring everyone together for a transcendent experience. He did it for thousands of burnt-out festival-goers at this year’s Coachella, reinvigorating them when he closed Saturday’s main stage, and he does it everywhere around the globe, from Ibiza to his Netherlands homeland. He even did it at the 2004 Olympics. So far this year T’s exciting, famously exhaustive sets have been promoting his third artist release, The Elements of Life, a collection of original material showcasing his signature mix of ethereal vocals and rhythmical crescendos.
