{mosimage} They should have called it the “Preaching to the Converted Tour” instead of the “It’s Not a Play and There’s No Music” moniker Marc Maron, Janeane Garofalo and Henry “Shecky” Rollins came up with for their bicoastal comedy shows defiantly not held in venues known for comedy. You can expect the topics to range from “Bush is bad” to “Bush sucks” to “Bush: What an asshole” spewed to a crowd of Jon Stewart–worshiping, Prius-driving yoga types who used to rock out but now have Netflix and high-def to keep them busy on Friday nights. But for this they’ll get a babysitter. The sardonic triplets are each known for being counterculture friendly. To fans of rock ’em–sock ’em Rollins, it comes as no surprise he’s taking the mike in the name of funny. His spoken-word shows often elicit boisterous laughter at his self-deprecating stories of his life. And Maron is one of the sharpest guys out there.
