“I’ve said from the get-go the D.A. doesn’t have a good case,” Darvish’s defense lawyer Corey Glave says of the criminal action against Morse. “This was political from the start. The case doesn’t get any better.”

“The case will be pretty much what you saw at the first trial,” says Sandi Gibbons, a spokesperson for the district attorney’s office. “We believe it’s solid.”

“I’ll review the evidence again,” Heal says. “Who knows, maybe I missed something.”
