An altar at Hollywood Forever Cemetery’s day of the dead celebration honored Francisco I. Madero, the Mexican Revolutionary leader who became President of Mexico in 1911 after successfully overthrowing the dictator Porfirio Diaz. Madero was later assassinated during the 1913 siege of Mexico city.
